On Labor Day Weekend, Saturday, August 31, 2024, sponsored by the Little Grass Foundation, Nicole Cheong, Eva Pudiyapura, and Albert Li all went to the shelter for the homeless, Family Supportive Housing. From buying the groceries to making the flyer, to cooking and baking, our team worked tirelessly in order to provide the best meal possible. Our menu consisted of pizza, mashed potatoes, salad, and cookies. For the first ever collaboration between Little Grass Foundation and Family Supportive Housing, we were able to serve more than 40 people for lunch.
The most rewarding part of serving these meals was the feedback we received. Many came up to the counter to thank us for the meal, and some others even came back for seconds, complimenting the food as we put more on the plate.
Our team is so proud to have been able to serve so many families, and we hope to provide more meals soon! We would not have been able to do this without all your help. Lastly, Thank you to Family Supportive Housing for giving our team the opportunity to give back to our community! This unique experience has taught us so many invaluable lessons.
